Zoo Trip

What fun we had today Every year I think it is impossible to have a better group than the year before, but then I end up with more amazing students.  I was so impressed with their behavior today.  We were able to meet Ahava today and she fits in with the group like she has been with us from the beginning.  I couldn't have been more impressed with how welcoming the delegation was to her.  She is a great addition!

We were lucky that the zoo has 2 koalas on loan from the San Diego Zoo right now, so we got to a see them and watch them get weighed (which they do daily).
These little guys take laziness to a whole new level - sleeping about 20 hours a day and only staying awake for 15-20 minutes at a time.  See how cute they were, the students are excited about having our hands-on adventure with Koalas in just a few weeks.

We had fun feeding the Koi, and getting splashed by them; feeding the giraffes; and feeding the goats.

We had a hands-on adventure with Lorikeet.  Some of us got to experience a Hurricane in a hurricane tunnel type thing - with winds up to 80 mph.  Didn't seem so scary....
We also spent time just playing in the kids play area, walking in the little stream of water...and yes - Both Blakes....it is ON!!!  Trying to scheme to soak me...sometime...somewhere in Australia...payback will come...  :-)
